Is English Sparkling Wine Worth the Money?

English sparkling wine has earned a reputation for quality, but it's generally more expensive than prosecco and often even champagne. So, is it really worth the price?

We certainly think so.

🌸Like Champagne, our Dancing Duchess Sparkling Rosé is made using the traditional method, where the second fermentation takes place in the bottle. It's a slower, more labour-intensive process that creates elegant bubbles, complex flavours and a beautifully refined finish.

🌸England's cool climate also plays a huge role. Vineyards in Kent and the South East produce grapes with vibrant acidity and delicate fruit flavours, making the region ideal for world-class sparkling wine. It's no surprise that some of the biggest Champagne houses have now bought land and planted vines here too.

🌸Most English producers are pretty small. Us especially so. Our first vintage consisted of just 1,000 bottles, with every stage carefully considered. Small-scale production means more attention to detail, but it also means higher production costs.

🌸The exciting news is that English sparkling wine is increasingly being recognised alongside some of the world's finest wines. We were delighted to be featured in the Daily Mail as one of the English sparkling wines offering exceptional quality compared with Champagne. It's fantastic to see English producers receiving this level of national recognition.

🌸Our Sparkling Rosé is made from 100% Pinot Meunier, offering delicate red berry fruit, crisp freshness and fine, persistent bubbles. It's a wine designed for celebrations, but equally enjoyable with friends on a sunny afternoon.
